What does stakeholder engagement mean?
Stakeholder engagement means that decision-makers give the community an opportunity to share its opinions, experiences and suggestions while a development or decision is being prepared. Genuine participation is not just about informing people or collecting opinions; it means that the feedback received actually contributes to shaping the decisions.
PARTIMAP is a tool that supports participatory processes: it can be used to inform the public, to collect both map-based and traditional survey feedback, and to document community ideas. The platform aims to make community planning easily accessible not only to local governments and state bodies, but also to civil society organizations, researchers and local communities.
